Meet Our Dentists
Dr. Nourhan Abdel-rahim
Originally from Egypt, Dr. Nora grew up in Tampa, Florida. Her family had a lot of unmet dental needs, and she saw how that visibly affected their everyday lives. After seeing that firsthand, she became interested in the field of dentistry. Dr. Nora obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Florida. She then left the Sunshine State and completed her general and pediatric residencies in Bronx, New York, where she completed training to become a pediatric dentist. The experience Dr. Nora received during her residency exposed her to a wide variety of procedures.
Afterward, Dr. Nora moved to Northern Virginia and has been practicing at We Make Kids Smile for almost five years. She understands that a child’s experience at the dentist can shape their perception of oral health, impacting their dental care as an adult. She is committed to providing excellent care to all her patients and focuses on providing positive experiences.
In her free time, Dr. Nora loves cooking, baking, and trying new restaurants. She’s married with two kids.
Dr. Michelle Baptiste
Dr. Michelle was born and raised in New Jersey. She attended Rutgers University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biology. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University College of Dentistry. While training at dental school, Dr. Michelle enjoyed treating children on mission trips to Cameroon and Jamaica. This inspired her to pursue a career in pediatric dentistry.
After graduating, Dr. Michelle returned to New Jersey and completed her pediatric dental training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Michelle had a fulfilling experience throughout her training and had the privilege of treating diverse populations and patients of all needs. She is dedicated to providing care to her patients with compassion and diligence.
Outside of work, Dr. Michelle enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and going to concerts. She is married with two kids.

Dr. Neya Shah
Dr. Neya grew up in New Jersey, where she completed both her undergraduate and doctorate. There she gained experience treating patients with complex medical and behavioral needs. Dr. Neya has specialty training in pediatric dentistry from St. Barnabas Hospital. Her favorite part of treating children is educating patients and their families on how to prevent caries. She loves to find creative ways to make kids more comfortable in the dental environment, whether that be through storytelling, singing, or simply spending time getting to know each child and their unique interests.
Dr. Neya is married, and she has a chocolate Labrador named Lilo. She loves to read fiction and memoirs and has tried her hand at amateur calligraphy and hand lettering. Traveling to new countries and trying new restaurants with her husband are things Dr. Neya very much enjoys. She tries to cook as often as possible and is always attempting to recreate her mom’s Indian recipes.
