Nitrous oxide, also called laughing gas, is a safe option for children of all ages. It provides a sense of calm without putting them in a deep sleep. They will remain conscious throughout. Best of all, the sedation wears off very quickly, so kids can resume their normal activities shortly after their dental visits.
